If you're the adventuring type, then you surely love to hike! It's free (mostly), a great workout, and has killer views...what's not to like? We'll be spotlighting some of our favorite hikes around the Hawaiian Islands in our blog so if you have a suggestion, COMMENT BELOW!
Koko Crater Arch - Oahu
One of our favorite things about this hike is the accessibility (pretty easy to find) and the time commitment for the views you get! So if you're ever short on time, this hike is a great option. Located on the east side of Oahu, between Hanauma Bay and Sandy Beach parking is on the side of Kalaniana'ole Highway by the Japanese fishing shrine. From the road, climb up the rocks to the grassy, dirt trail above and follow the path to the arch.
- Carpool - roadside parking is limited and parking at nearby Blowhole is tricky.
- Wear shoes - as short as the hike is, sections are steep with lots of loose gravel.
- See the sunrise - not only is it cooler, but catching an east side sunrise is always a good idea.
BONUS: There's a cool lava tube from Cockroach Cove that leads up to the hike too.
